What is the Island Newcomers Club?
The Newcomers Club is a group of new residents to St. Simons Island and Sea Island annually numbering between 300 – 400 people. The Club is open to couples and singles, both men and women. See MEMBERSHIP for more information.
What does the Newcomers Club do?
The Club engages in a broad group of activities to fit many lifestyles. The activities range from active to less active. It’s your choice of what you choose to participate in. See our pages on Meet&Greet, Island Adventures, Activities and Volunteering to learn more about the life in the Club.
How do I sign up?
New members and returning members can sign up online at our New Member Signup Page.
What are the membership requirements?
Membership is available to new residents to St Simons Island or Sea Island. Members must join within two years of arriving and may continue for three consecutive years. See MEMBERSHIP
If you signed up after January 1 of the last three years, your partial year membership will not be counted against your eligibility and three full membership years are available to you.
Memberships are obtained by paying the full or partial year membership fee.

What if I don’t have a computer?

What if I don’t have an email account?
Free email accounts are available at many locations online, including Gmail at https://www.google.com/. It’s important to have email linked to your account because that is how the club sends information to the members about events and club activities.
I like the picture used in last year’s Membership directory; how can I use the same picture again for the 2019-2020 directory?

Can I provide a picture as a new member or replace last year’s picture with a new one?
Yes, email us at: [email protected] and attach the picture you would like to have in the directory. Pictures can be of individual members or couples if you would prefer. Head and shoulders or Headshot style pictures are preferred.
I don’t have a current picture to email to Island Newcomers Membership, how can I get one?
Use your cell phone camera. Head and shoulders or Headshot style pictures are preferred. Email it to us at: [email protected]

For those without pictures, a photographer will be available at the first monthly Meet & Greet to take your picture and forward it to the Membership team.
If I sign up for an Island Adventure and cannot go, do I receive a refund?
There is no refund. You are responsible for finding a replacement for your ticket on the adventure. The best way is to advertise on INC Facebook Group or ask around to other INC members.
I wanted to go on an Island adventure and it sold out before I could sign up.
Don’t worry! Island Adventures plans duplicates of the same Adventures during the year. Also, remember, that you can be a member for 3 years and the adventures will be available again the next year.
How is the cost of the Island Adventure determined?
The price that is charged to a member for the adventure is what INC is charged plus the taxes and tips. Also, included in the price is a $2.00 charge for the credit card processing fee.
I have out of town company and want to take them along on the Adventure. Is this allowed?
Guest(s) of members are welcome as long as there is space available following the sign-up of all member who wish to participate. Members may not bring the same guest(s) to more than two events in a Club year.
