So why do I have to register?
Answer: So the room can be set appropriately and there will be enough refreshments.
In 1888, Brunswick was a small town of 3,500 citizens. When people became ill, there was no place to treat them except in their homes which entailed a long horse and buggy trip by the doctor.
Mrs. Theodore Crovatt, with the help of other prominent ladies of Brunswick, began a drive to solicit funds to build a hospital. Property was donated at the corner of Norwich Street and First Avenue, and in 1888 the Brunswick and Seaman’s Hospital was established. From those humble beginnings, health care in Glynn County has evolved, progressed, and expanded into a Health System that serves the needs of people from all over Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida.
