One of Our Very Own Is Leading the Way – Come See for Yourself!

Ever driven past the Brunswick Job Corps Center and wondered what really goes on inside? Here’s your chance to step behind the scenes and discover how this vibrant campus is shaping the future—led by one of our very own Island Newcomers!

Mary Geoghagan, Director of the Brunswick Job Corps (and proud Newcomer!), is opening the doors for an exclusive tour just for us. Come explore how this national program is making a local impact by helping young adults gain the skills, confidence, and training they need for real-world careers.

Date & Time: Monday, August 25th, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Optional Lunch: Join us beforehand at Moveable Feast at 12:00 PM (at your own cost)
Location: Brunswick Job Corps Center, 4401 Glynco Parkway

The Brunswick Job Corps Center is located next to the Golden Isles (Brunswick) Airport on the east side, directly across from Golden Isles College and Career Academy (GICCA). Visitors may park in the on-site lot and enter through the main entrance.

Security Protocol:
As a federal facility, all guests must show ID, walk through a metal detector, and have any bags checked. To speed things up, please keep items to a minimum. No drugs, weapons, alcohol, vapes, or smoking are permitted.

Limited group size – RSVP required.
Don’t miss this chance to support Mary, learn something new, and get inspired by the amazing work happening right here in our community!

As part of our visit, a donation will be made to support the Brunswick Job Corps program and the students they serve.
