Adopt-a-Highway Marsh Madness, Salt Marsh Cleanup – March 20

Newcomers Adopt a Highway will be hosting a “Marsh Madness” event in conjunction with Keep Golden Isle Beautiful on Saturday, March 20th @ 7:30 a.m.  This event is open to all comers so please join us as we work to clean the banks and marsh at Gascoigne park. SSI – meet Gascoigne Park pavilion 
Join Island Newcomers Club, KGIB & volunteers.  High ground bordering marsh and down in the marsh.
SUPPLIES (safety vests, bags, gloves, water) AVAILABLE WITH REGISTRATION. Boots, sunscreen & bug spray recommended.
Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in and receive instructions/supplies.

Adopt-a-Highway Cleanup – February 6

Adopt-a-Highway group will have their next clean up on Saturday, February 6 starting at 8:00am.

PLEASE NOTE:  We are meeting in a new spot again this month due to the construction work at the intersection of Sea Island and Hamilton Road.   We will meet at the end of Arthur J. Moore Drive which dead ends near the fence line separating Gascoigne Park from the Torras Causeway.  See map below.  Follow Hamilton Road (off of Sea Island Road) until you reach Arthur J. Moore Drive.  Turn left onto Arthur J. Moore Drive and follow the road until it dead ends just before Torras Causeway.

Adopt-a-Highway November 6 Pickup

On Friday, November 6th, the Newcomers Adopt a Highway Gang will be assisting the Keep Golden Isle Beautiful organization with the clean up on the Old Coast Guard Station Parking Lot as part of the GA/FL Beach Week festivities.  We start our work around 5:00 p.m. as the students are leaving the beach following their day of fun and sun on the beach.   If you have interest please contact Gary Vaughan by email at [email protected]
