The Island Newcomers Club Story
The Island Newcomers Club has been serving new arrivals to the island since the early 2000’s. Available history indicates that the club is currently functioning much as it did in the past by offering the opportunity for new arrivals to meet and to become acquainted with the Golden Isles of Georgia.
The Club promotes getting acquainted with fellow Newcomers through the signature Newcomers Night Out events and Island Adventures Trips and through the smaller groups of our Activity Committees. Our numerous and varied activity committees provide both enrichment from recreation (as in bowling, golf and more) to coastal education (as in beach and marsh eco walks, barrier island visits, and more). Our members give back through volunteering to assist numerous organizations in the area and by stepping up to answer the call of charitable support of local schools and support-aid agencies.
As a Newcomer our members participate in as many or as few activities as they desire. It is a great way to meet fellow islanders and get involved with the community!
