Join Bill Dawson, Director of Operations for the Brunswick Port, and hear the story of the freight that passes through our Brunswick Port as we travel through the port’s facilities aboard a trolley. Using the trolley will allow more people to participate and reduces the burden on Bill of driving a port van while speaking to the group. 30 attendees are required for the tour with a maximum of 34 attendees abroad the trolley. The price is $22/person and covers the trolley cost and tip. It will be collected as soon as we have a firm date based on notification of a ship in port on that date.

Name as appears on official picture ID will be collected from each attendee prior to the tour.

Directions: Leaving the island from Sea Island Rd take the last right turn before Demere onto Hamilton Rd and continue to the end and turn left. The hall is on your left. If you’re leaving the island from Demere or Kings Way go onto Sea Island Rd and take the first left onto Hamilton Rd. If you wind up on the Causeway, well, sorry you’ve gone too far. Better yet click on “map and directions” on the registration screen and see details of how to get there from anywhere plus a picture of the building!

Fifty-three prominent Jekyll Island Club members created an exclusive gilded era island retreat for family and friends on Georgia’s coast. These empire builders shaped our nation’s future. Now step into their past with a 90 minute guided tram tour of the 240-acre historic district that includes entry into two cottages. After the tour, the group will enjoy lunch at the Grand Dining Room at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel or the Courtyard at Crane. All expenses are dutch treat.

The price of the tour is $16 – which will be collected on the tour. Advance payment when registering is not required.

We are carpooling from the SSI Winn Dixie parking lot and requesting volunteers interested in driving their vehicles to contact Island Adventures to let us know if you can drive.

An Evening in Tuscany
Join us at Nazzaro’s Italian Cuisine for a five course meal and an accompanying red or white wine.  Mark Gagliano will share with us his extensive knowledge of Italy and recent excursion to Tuscany.  Mark your calendar for May 16 and sign up without delay.  Attendance is limited to 36 persons.  Costs $58 per person and includes dinner, wine or soft drinks and gratuity.  Dinner will begin promptly at 6:00.  SIGN UP DEADLINE is May 11.
